Destination Imagination Global Finals Support
This is the image for the news article titled Destination Imagination Global Finals SupportIn the fall of 2018, Windham Center School students formed a Destination Imagination (DI) Team named "Inspired", led by coach and parent Katie Murphy. Team members include third grader Daniel Murphy and fifth graders Nate Kaplan, Ryan Kaplan, Caroline McNamara, Sarah Murphy, Shyani Patel, and Priya Soundar. DI promotes creative team problem solving and project management. Team "Inspired" chose the Scientific Challenge entitled "Medical Mystery" and developed a uniquely innovative solution to the problem that incorporated scientifically researched diagnosis of a medical condition and a cure for the condition. They designed and built their own sets and wrote a script, composed music, directed, choreographed, and starred in the performance. In March 2019, Team Inspired won 1st place in the elementary category in their region - then went on to win 1st place at the New Hampshire State Competition for their "Medical Mystery" performance. They will be competing in the Global Finals of Destination Imagination in Kansas City May 22-25 and are seeking financial support to defray their travel expenses. All donations are greatly appreciated.
